OKW Railtec B low-profile DIN rail enclosures

OKW has added low-profile models to its range of Railtec B DIN rail enclosures. The enclosures are very versatile, with applications including machine building, control equipment and the automotive industry.

The low-profile models can house single PCBs in the base or top section. They are useful for equipment assemblies in cabinets where space is tight. Their profile makes it easy to fit controls, displays and connectors.

The enclosures are fully insulated and protected according to VBG4 and IEC 529/DIN VDE 0470-1. Four module sizes are available: 2 (35 mm), 4 (70 mm), 6 (105 mm) or 9 (157.5 mm) modules. The length is 90 mm and the height is 31 mm.

The units are moulded from modified polyether for the base section and polycarbonate for the top. Enclosures can be specified in black (base) and light grey (top). Accessories include terminal guards, a partition plate, front panels, front lids, mounting bracket, terminal blocks and plug headers.

OKW can supply the enclosures fully customised. Services include bespoke colours; CNC milling and drilling; EMC shielding; and silk-screen and tampo printing of legends and logos. The Railtec bus system provides common power and data connections between multiple enclosures fitted on the same DIN rail.
