Backplane Systems Technology has launched the APLEX ViKING-912BP, a state-of-the-art marine solution. Vessels constantly battle with extreme maritime conditions, from humidity and drastic temperature shifts to shocks and vibrations. APLEX’s ViKING series, designed with a fanless and true flat bezel, provides optimal performance under harsh conditions. It also features a marine certification, showcasing its resilience.

A distinctive feature of the panel PC is its dynamic dimming function. Given the vast lighting changes between day and night at sea, this marine panel PC supports adjustable brightness, from 0 to 100%. It further offers AR coating, optical bonding and specialised lighting modes for different times of the day, enhancing legibility.

The device’s rugged design allows it to function between temperatures of -20 and 60℃. Additionally, its anti-corrosion structure, backed by salt spray tests, and an IP66-certified front bezel provide protection against salt-induced decay and moisture damage.

The panel PC is equipped with an 8th Gen. Intel core processor and offers sizes ranging from 12.1″ to 24″. It also features a range of connectivity options, making data collection and transmission efficient.

Fulfilling all maritime requirements, from navigation to surveillance, the ViKING-912BP, compliant with the IEC 60945 maritime standard, is a suitable solution for marine applications.
