Harwin Datamate High Current Contacts

Harwin has introduced Datamate High Current Contacts, offering a high current rating in a compact space. The contacts double the current rating of the Mix-Tek power contacts available from 20-40 A nominally.

Fully RoHS compliant and suitable for COTS requirements, the contacts are able to operate over a wide temperature range up to +150°C (with derating) and are suitable for any high-temperature environment where high current and power are required. They also provide high performance levels in harsh environments.

The contacts are gold-plated to 0.76 µm to offer high durability suitable for aerospace applications. They will extend the use of Mix-Tek connectors to include any application where a high current is used, particularly at high temperatures, such as aircraft flap actuators; industrial machine control; avionics rotary and linear actuators; aircraft wiper motor control; thermal management, heating and cooling; auto pilot control; and radar and weapons systems.

The mixed technology connectors featuring the contacts have been added to the range as standard products. The Mix-Tek off-the-shelf series also includes some 3 A signal, 20 A power and 50 Ω coax variations. In cable-to-board and board-to-board applications, the contacts offer design flexibility while performing at high current capacities.
