Connector housings

ODU has switched to a new design for housing its MAC and ODU MAC LC modular connector systems.

Additional product improvements will also be implemented but the change will not take place for all connectors as of some specific date. Instead, articles will be switched to the new form in an ongoing process.

The new housing design is fully plug-compatible with the previous design.

All parts for the locking (lever, pins and rollers) are manufactured from stainless steel. In addition, the locking parts are not as sharp-edged. The size 1 locking is equipped with rigid pins and a cushioning locking lever. For size 2 and larger, the locking lever is rigid and the opposite side is equipped with moving rollers.

A more impact-resistant powder coating offers better protection. The surface can also always be corrected as far as shrink hole inclusions and burring are concerned. The flange seals on the built-on housing are not separately included as was previously the case. Now, they are already glued so that they cannot be forgotten or incorrectly assembled.

The housings are now machined only after having been painted. This prevents paint tracks on the screw thread. The previous pad printing has been replaced by laser printing, which is more resistant and delivers a more uniform image.
