Harwin Datamate range extended

Friday, 19 March, 2010 | Supplied by: Clarke & Severn Electronic Solutions

Harwin has extended its 2 mm pitch Datamate range to include mixed technology connectors with jackscrews.

Turned contacts, used in conjunction with the company’s four-finger beryllium copper contact clip, ensure contact reliability while the jackscrew option, already available on Datamate low-frequency connectors, ensures termination reliability for safety applications.

The latest extension offers more than 7.8 million different configurations of signal and power, allowing users to design their own connector.

The connectors are available in male PC tail and female crimp, male crimp and female PC tail options, with a maximum of 50 low-frequency contacts or 12 special (signal and power) contacts.

They mate with industry equivalents to allow retrofitting and are suitable for military and aerospace applications. Mouldings are polarised and have a UL94 V-0 rating.

The additions to the range comply with standards: BS9525-F0033; CECC 75101-008; MIL C 55302.
