TDK-EPC ZCAT-D clamp filter series
TDK-EPC has developed the ZCAT-D series of clamp filters, especially suited to EMI suppression, they eliminate noise in the power lines of flat-screen TVs, in speaker lines and similar applications.
The filters employ a vertically split cylindrical ferrite core, with the entire filter enclosed in a resin housing, a construction principle unique to the company's products. The core ensures good magnetic characteristics and RF noise suppression.
The filter has been slimmed down by modifying the sintering method of the material for the core, allowing it to be made thinner without affecting performance.
The result is said to be a 30% height reduction compared with conventional company products. The temperature range for usage is -25 to +85°C.
