Schaefer C4700 DC/DC converter series

The C4700 series of 2500 W DC/DC converters from Schaefer uses industrial-grade components for the most extreme environments in industries such as railway controls and communications equipment (onboard and trackside), military applications, alternative-energy applications, transportation and process control systems.

The series features a range of over 200 standard models, with modifications available. Nine standard DC input voltage options span a range from 10-800 VDC. AC input models offer either 1-phase or 3-phase options as well as battery-charging models.

Single outputs are available in 12 standard ranges encompassing 4.5-400 VDC. All outputs are adjustable and fully regulated to 0.2% or better (load) and 0.1% (line).

DC/DC and AC/DC models have remote sense capability. The series has protection circuitry and efficiencies are up to 95%. Operating temperature is -20 to +75°C, with -40 to +75°C as an option.

Options include decoupling diodes for parallel/redundant operation, further mechanical ruggedisation, inhibit, power fail/DC-OK alarms, system reset and programming/monitoring functions.
