Linear Sensor

Penny & Giles Controls has added a third model to its sealed linear sensor range with the introduction of the SLS130.

The specification includes a choice of sealing to IP50 or IP66, an extended range of eight stroke lengths from 25 to 200 mm, corrosion resistant bearings and a 1 or 10 m cable. A smaller body length and 15% weight saving compared with comparable sensors makes it suitable for mobile equipment and applications where space is restricted.

Penny & Giles says that for existing users standard mounting kits make the SLS130 interchangeable with the HLP129, but a compact shaft option is available to provide a bearing centre distance that is 25 mm shorter than existing HLP129 or other installations.

Other applications for the sensor include data logging, process control, printing and textile equipment and special purpose machinery.
