Ohmite's TAP1000 Series of heat sink power resistors raise heat sinkable power options to 1000 W. The thick film technology and refined manufacturing processes combine to provide a thermally efficient package that delivers 1000 W of continuous power at 25°C case temperature when properly mounted to an adequate heat sink.

Designed for use with liquid cooling systems, the TAP1000 is constructed from durable, lightweight materials with a 19.35 cm2 package. The products are capable of withstanding single impulses up to 104 J, and exhibit very low inductance when fully charged.

Resistance values from 2.5 to 50 ohms are available in tolerances of ±10 and ±20% (standard). Maximum operating voltage is 2000 VDC, with dielectric strengths from 6 to 12 kV available. The products have an operating temperature range from -55 to +125°C.

The electrically isolated resistor element is protected by a rugged Valox case, suitable for power control, conversion, distribution, and conditioning applications. Select values are available for sampling.
