ICP DAS CAN-2053 CCON 16-channel isolated digital input module
Developed by the ICP DAS, the CCON protocol is one of the application layer protocols on the CANbus. A simple and effective protocol for industrial automation applications, it provides many safe and robust communication mechanisms like arbitration, error detection and error correction. It has been designed to help establish CAN network applications easily and quickly build a CCON network to meet the application’s requirements.
The CAN-2053 is a CCON digital input module, following the CCON version 2.00. Users can access the digital I/O status and set the configuration by using the protocol. The device has 16 channels of isolated sink/source input and can be used in various applications, such as building automation, factory automation, machine automation and distributed data acquisition.
Other features include: a rotary switch for node ID (1-99); duplicated ID detection; built-in host heartbeat consumer; a built-in switch for 120 Ω terminator resistors; ESD protection ±4 kV contact for each channel; power, run, error LED indicator; operating temperature of -25 to +75°. The product supports 100 I/O modules in a single network and provides pair connection among other I/O modules.
