The DRPC-100, from IEI Technology, is an embedded system with an Intel Atom N2800 dual-core processor and Intel NM10 Express Chipset.

The product has a high-performance graphics engine, Intel GMA 3600, supporting Blu-ray 2.0, DirectX 9, MPEG-2, H.264, C-1 and 1080 p decoding. Designed for rich I/O functions and low power consumption, the system comes equipped with 2 x GbE, 4 x USB 2.0, 2 x RS232, 2 x RS422/485, 2 x CAN-bus and 1 x 8-bit DIO (4-bit input/4-bit output) with isolation.

The product acts as a communication gateway via the isolated digital IO, CAN-bus and serial communication ports. With the rich I/O ports, the device is able to act like a microcontroller for building automation. In addition, it has a programmable OLED display and function keys, a terminal screen and status display, as well as an open protocol and demo source code.

In order to meet the demands of harsh environment applications, the product has been approved to operate in wide temperature ranges, such as high surge ESD automation environments, factory automation, heavy vehicle application and building automation (elevators or warehouses with air-conditioning control system and environment monitoring). With the fanless design, the device reduces the system failure caused by fans and extends the lifetime of the device.
