Compatibility with Windows Embedded Standard 7 operating system is available for Advantech’s full-range of embedded platforms.
The release of Standard 7 contains new features, as well as inheriting embedded-enabling features from Windows Embedded Standard 2009.
The features provide robust protection for differentiated devices. The company also develops utilities and software APIs to make Standard 7 easier to use and integrate.
The latest embedded platform series containing Atom, Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors, are all compatible with Standard 7 and the company provides utilities for its embedded platforms: a boot manager which allows easier changes and control of Standard 7 with a Windows shell and boot process; and an EWF/FBWF manager which is a GUI-based tool for configuring embedded-enabling features.
Using the latest board technology, the software allows development and integration for digital signage, Kiosk/POS and gaming.
