Camille Bauer angular transducers

Friday, 11 February, 2011 | Supplied by: Power Parameters Pty Ltd

Power Parameters has available Camille Bauer angular transducers that use absolute angle measurement techniques based on moving capacitor vane principles.

The non-contact measurement method basically provides very high angular resolution, an inherent absolute measurement of angle and high reliability, making the transducers suitable for demanding applications.

The transducers consist of two fixed, concentric capacitor plates positioned at a short, accurately fixed distance from each other. A vane, attached to the transducer shaft subject to angular movement, is positioned between the two concentric capacitor plates.

Angular displacement is electronically measured by the changes in capacitance caused by the moving vane.

The Kinax WT720 is a rugged industrial application transducer suitable for high vibration, mechanical shock and elevated humidity environmements. The measurand output is a 4 to 20 mA current loop permitting transmission over large distances and ready integration with PLCs.
