FUTEK’s QLA414 NANO force sensor, measuring 4 x 5 mm (roughly the size of a match head), is suitable for use in innovative industries such as advanced automation and robotic surgery, where sensor size is critical to support the requirements of next-generation applications.
The sensor offering includes M1 threaded double-sided mounting provisions, 1000Ω full-bridge side load compensated instrumentation, laser-welded construction, non-active interconnect and environmental protection.
The product allows for tension and compression force measurement in 2.27 and 4.54 kg capacities, with ultralow deflection and high natural frequency response. Additionally, miniaturised sensors as small as 3 x 4 mm with measurement capabilities up to 22.68 kg are available on request for OEM applications, including IP67 and autoclavable solutions for the medical industry.
The sensors feature a thru-hole design that allows for not only M1 thread mounting, but also slide or weld-on installation over the tube, wire or shaft, making the NANO platform modular in terms of integration options.
