The MIC5239 is a micropower low-dropout regulator providing keep-alive voltage for power-sensitive applications ranging from notebook PCs to automotive electronics.

The device is the latest addition to the family of low-power LDOs from Micrel.

The low quiescent current of 23 µA and wide input voltage range of 2.3 to 30 enable this regulator to serve several markets.

It is capable of providing up to 500 mA of operating current, but when little or no current is drawn from the output, the quiescent current is 23 µA.

The MIC5239 is stable with either ceramic or tantalum capacitors.
