Powerbox has added the eight wide-input micro DC-DC converters to its 28 VDC input family.
The models have nominal output voltages ranging from 3.3 to 48 DC and a maximum power of 100 W (50 W at 3.3 Vout and 5 Vout and 100 W at 12, 15, 24, 28, 36 and 48 Vout).
The modules target either 12 or 24 V applications, such as MIL-COTS or commercial battery systems in vehicles.
They also meet the European standard for electronic equipment used in rolling stock, EN50155, and can be used in a variety of vehicle or man-portable applications including lighting, communications, portable test equipment, display and control systems.
With efficiency up to 82%, the converters operate from 28 V nominal input with an input range of nine to 36 V. The models are available in four environmental grades - with operating temperatures to -55°C - with six pin options and three baseplate options.
