A man-machine interface, combining membrane and rubber keypads into a single, customisable, dual technology keypad, has been introduced by Knitter-Switch.
Membrane keypads offer economic, small size, multilayered, moisture sealed, self-adhesive mounting switching which may be printed with graphics to match the end product.
Rubber keypads have better tactile ‘feel’, greater choice of form (shape and size of button or actuator), the ability to be backlit and are cheaper than membrane keypads.
