Spectrum Control EMI-filtered MIL-DTL-38999 connectors
The Spectrum Control custom EMI-filtered MIL-DTL-38999 connectors are designed to meet demanding military, aerospace and high-reliability application requirements. Spectrum Control has developed an expedited design-to-delivery process that produces fully customised filtered connectors in only 12 to 14 weeks with zero NRE charges.
These next-generation connectors provide high-performance EMI filtering, rugged construction and complete configuration flexibility, enabling designers to streamline development cycles while meeting environmental and electrical performance standards.
The filtered circular connectors feature a combination of advanced technologies and robust construction, including EMI filtering using both planar and substrate-based designs, outperforming chip-on-board or chip-in-seal alternatives. With soldered construction for improved high-frequency integrity, the connectors also feature durable aluminium shells for weight-sensitive or harsh environmental applications. A wide capacitance range also supports both power and signal filtering in a single connector.
All filtered connectors undergo quality assurance testing, including capacitance, dissipation factor, dielectric withstanding voltage and insulation resistance — many performed 100% by computer-controlled systems for consistent compliance with MIL-STD requirements.
The standard product attributes include a square-flange wall mount format, PC-tail terminations, N-keyring, 5-amp current rating, size 22D contacts and DWV ratings of 200 VDC working/500 VDC maximum.
