Compliant adapters

Phihong says its 9 V adapter in the PSA05R interchangeable plug adapter series is compliant with the Energy Star external power supply version 2.0 requirement.

All the adapters in the 5 W series, which includes 3.3, 5, 9 and 12 V models, meet the requirements of the US Federal Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA).

Suitable for use in personal electronics, including digital cameras, PDAs and MPEG players, the series features the company’s interchangeable AC plugs that are compatible with American, European, British and Australian electrical outlets.

The adapter has a fully regulated 9 V output rated at 0.56 A, level V Energy Star efficiency compliance, 72.3% average efficiency and a maximum no-load power consumption of 0.3 W.

The series features clip-in, field-changeable AC plugs (each sold separately), are double insulated and have low leakage current and Class B EMI. They also feature short-circuit protection with auto restart overvoltage protection.
