InterlinkBT has announced the Junction, Tee, & Cable System - a fully-connectorised fieldbus system offering system-wide 'plug-and-play' convenience, allowing rapid changeover to a network.
System components, Foundation Fieldbus junctions and cabling (standard and armoured), and IP67 tees feature standardised minifast connectors that streamline changeover and maintenance.
The junctions and cabling connect field devices to PLCs via a cable tray, and the tees provide a quick and NEC (National Electrical Code) compliant way in and out of the cable tray.
The components work reliably in the harshest environments, including intrinsic safety, hazardous areas and volatile processes.
The junction housing, rated NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 5, 12 and 13; and IP65 and 66, is constructed of powder-coated die-cast aluminium with stainless steel receptacles.
