GES High Voltage Series MC multipin high-voltage connectors

GES High Voltage has upgraded its Series MC multipin high-voltage connectors, designed for 2–5 pins and operating voltages up to 15 kVDC. The design was overhauled with the aim of increasing user benefits.

Special attention was placed on functional design and the homogenisation of the materials. All types of the revised version are 100% compatible with all previously supplied MC connectors. Old and new connectors mate together, and the mounting cut-outs for panel mount sockets and plugs remain unchanged.

At the heart of the design revision is the integration of cable strain relief and shield connection into the connector housing and thus the omission of an external optional cable gland. The revised clamping system offers five finely graduated clamping sizes for cable outer diameters of 6.5–14 mm.

In addition, instead of the integrated cable connection, two types with an open M20 or M25 thread are offered. In this way, cables can also be connected to the connector via protective hoses or corrugated pipes with the appropriate hose or corrugated pipe fittings.

The high-voltage connectors are commonly use in applications like high-voltage testers, semiconductor testing and UHV surface analysis. They are designed to provide a well-engineered and solid solution for the demanding high-voltage engineer.
