Tyco has introduced the S200 range of Raychem shield terminators.
The increasing need for electronic components with elevated temperature ratings prompted the development of these devices that are rated for up to 200°C and are used to provide a single-step, low installed cost method of terminating cable shields in aerospace and defence-related applications.
The devices provide environmentally protected shield termination on cables with a minimum temperature rating of 150°C and silver or nickel-plated shields. They are designed for applications requiring a maximum operating temperature of 200°C.
A typical application is protecting and sealing RCW and BMS 13-60 cables (PTFE wrapped).
