NetComm has introduced a range of internet protocol digital subscriber line access multiplexers (IP DSLAMs) to enable the delivery of high-speed broadband internet access in pre-wired buildings.

An IP DSLAM is a device installed in the basement of a multi-dwelling structure, office or commercial building to allow simple, cheap distribution of high-speed internet services to the entire building using existing phone lines.

Cabling can be rationalised at the planning stage and even in existing structures there is no need for rewiring every floor. Voice and data can be carried on the same network without disrupting normal telephone services.

The devices are available in two models - the micro version (NCT-1020) supporting up to 72 ports and a mini version (NCT-1000) that supports up to 288 ports.
