The VOPEX-C64K18GB-4 4K HDMI splitter/extender, from Network Technologies Inc (NTI), simultaneously distributes uncompressed Ultra-HD 4Kx2K HDMI video, multichannel audio and IR control from one video source to up to four displays and speakers, each located up to 30.5 m away via CATx cable.

The system consists of two components: the 4K HDMI HDBase-T broadcast unit, which connects to the HDMI source and also supplies video to a local display, and a receiver for each remote 4K HDMI display. The units are interconnected by CAT5e/6/6a/7 cable.

The maximum distance that the HDMI signal can be extended is dependent on the video resolution. The product can extend Ultra-HD 4Kx2K 60 Hz to 30.5 m, 4Kx2K 30 Hz to 50.3 m and 1080p to 70 m.

HDMI features supported by the system include: HDMI 2.0, YUV 4:4:4, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital and DTS 7.1 as well as LPCM, HDR, 3D and Lip Sync. The system also supports CEC (consumer electronic control) compatible devices.

The device is HDCP 2.2 compliant, supports the DDC2B protocol and provides a built-in EDID table allowing standard display resolutions to be easily configured and recognised by computers running modern operating systems. With a video bandwidth of up to 600 MHz (18 Gbps), the product produces crisp clean output on remote displays, making it suitable for digital signage, trade shows or classrooms where high-quality video on multiple displays is needed.
