By using the Variosub-RJ45 plug connectors from Phoenix Contact it is possible to use RJ45 connectors even in a harsh industrial environment.

This means that devices for industrial ethernet applications can now also be fitted with the plug connector used as the standard in the IT world.

The connector is suitable for devices, infrastructure components and switch cabinets.

It meets the requirements of the IAONA User Group for use in light-duty applications and is suitable for fast ethernet transmission at 100 Mbps.

Various female inserts and mounting frames are available for the device side, while the conductor side can have both a nozzle and a pin insert.

The female inserts for PCB mounting and the mounting frames are designed with standard pitch.

This means that existing printed circuit board layouts can continue to be used, normal commercial pin inserts can still be used.

At commissioning and during service there is no need to use adapter cables or other special devices.
