ODU Connector Systems of Germany has appointed Clarke & Severn Electronics as its new partner in Australia. ODU specialises in cylindrical connectors for medical & scientific applications in its Mini-Snap, Mini-Snap PC and Medi-Snap series and High Power/Mixed Combination matable connectors in their MAC (Modular Attachable Connector).
One of the most popluar ODU connectors is Medi-Snap, this is a push-pull connector made out of high chemical resistant plastic with colour coding identification and available in 2-14 pin positions or with special inserts for fluid or LWL. The housing is made from PSU and PEI materials for Sterilisable/Autoclavable/ETO environments and is rated for more than 2000 mating cycles. Medi-Snap is available in Cable to Panel and Cable to Cable applications with both solder and PCB terminations.
