Samtec’s latest high-performance power interconnect solution is a discrete wire cable system for space-limited applications. The PowerStrip/15 cable assembly (MPSS series) is available with two, three, four, six or eight dual leaf blade contacts on a 5 mm centreline.
When mated with the company’s PowerStrip/25 high-power terminals (MPT series), the system has a current carrying capacity of 14.4 A per contact at 30°C temperature rise (with eight positions powered and 14 AWG cable).
The system is available in double or single-ended assemblies with 14 or 16 AWG discrete wire coax cable and a choice of assembled lengths. It also features a positive latching system for increased unmating force and polarised guide posts that allow for blind mating making it suitable for rugged or other harsh environments.
