TE Connectivity EP-SMA connectors and cable assemblies

TE Connectivity’s EP-SMA 27 GHz portfolio of connectors, adaptors and cable assemblies provides engineers with the bandwidth, power and performance that are required for 5G, automated test equipment, aerospace and defence, wireless devices and radar.

The portfolio offers low insertion loss, plus voltage standing wave ratios (VSWR) of <1.15 (max) for adaptors and <1.20 for cable assemblies. The 27 GHz components have the same footprint as SMA 6, 12 and 18 GHz solutions, meaning designers can often avoid altering existing layouts to expand frequencies up to 27 GHz or higher-signal SMA performance.

Using the connectors in an upgrade can provide cost savings in applications currently using 2.92 mm (40 GHz) or 3.5 mm (33 GHz) products performing at 27 GHz or lower, according to the company. Additionally, the products’ robust, high-quality materials allow up to 500 mating cycles.
