Phihong has released an extended range of unregulated switching adapters.
Designated the PLA series, the adapters are available in 1, 2, 3, and 5 W single output voltage models and meet Level IV efficiency. They can be used in place of non-compliant unregulated linear adapters and are suitable for applications such as wireless communication, cordless headsets, Bluetooth device chargers and mobile phones.
The adapters have no control and feedback circuits and components, and use one primary control circuit.
The series is available as fixed wall plugs (1, 2, 3, 5 W) and feature double insulation, short-circuit protection with auto recovery and are safety approved as limited power sources.
They have a no-load power consumption of less than 0.3 W.
