Eaton 93PM UPS

Wednesday, 22 May, 2013 | Supplied by: Eaton Electrical (Australia) Pty Ltd

The Eaton 93PM UPS is a 3-phase double conversion solution that keeps critical applications running efficiently. The power factor of 1.0 enables the UPS to cover power ratings from 30 to 50 kVA/kW and offers energy efficiency in a compact 0.5 m² footprint.

The units are designed to meet the reliability needs of IT managers in demanding environments including virtualised and cloud data centres, co-location facilities and mission-critical applications. Its modern multilevel converter technology ensures that the UPS operates at a double conversion efficiency of 96.7% and an Energy Saver System (ESS) efficiency of 99%, resulting in significant savings in operational costs and protection from any abnormalities in utility power.

In ESS mode, load is powered securely through static bypass line with double conversion available on demand with typical two minutes transition time in the event of any abnormality on supply source. When operating in ESS mode, load is protected with inherent surge suppression.  As a result, the units enable users to optimise power usage effectiveness (PUE) while ensuring reliability and continuous load availability.

Eaton’s Intelligent Power Software Suite enables users to monitor and manage all the power devices on the network. The Intelligent Power Manager (IPM) software is compatible with major operating systems as well as virtualisation software. In case of a power failure, IPM can trigger actions like live migration of virtual machines, controlled shutdown or disaster recovery, and movement of critical applications to available servers within an organisation or to a co-located facility or public cloud.
