Eltek Flatpack2 48 V Integrated power system

Wednesday, 17 April, 2013 | Supplied by: Eltek Australia

The Flatpack2 48 V Integrated power system has been designed to meet the demand for higher density and more condensed power solutions. It is suitable for applications needing an expandable, easily serviceable and reliable power supply, fitting within a minimal space. This system can be mounted into racks, cabinets or enclosures and can operate at a wide range of temperatures (-40 to +60°C) with a high MTBF.

This system is primarily used in the fixed and mobile telecom industries, including (but not limited to) radio base stations, LTE, 4G, microwave, broadband, fibre optics and data centres. The system has a large input voltage (85-290 VAC) and draws sinusoidal current with a soft start power-up. Variants of this system include the 8, 16 and 24 kW versions, but they can be scaled to suit different power requirements.

The FP2 power system consists of a monitoring and control unit (Smartpack), LVD, batteries and load MCBs. It contains a 4U power core and the power rack can be from 1U to 4U, depending on load, and each rack can house up to four rectifier modules. Switchmode technology with resonant topology and high switching frequency is used to minimise volume and weight to obtain high reliability.
