Inverter family

Microsemi has released its cost-optimised family of CCFL backlight inverters for dual lamp LCD panels.

The family is designed to migrate the company’s IP differentiated backlighting technology developed to meet demanding motor vehicle, LCD TV and notebook applications into a broad range of mid-sized panel designs, by delivering cost-to-feature benefits of reliability and efficiency.

The inverters will allow the technology to be used in many 7 to 19" panel applications including medical, POS, kiosk, ATM and lottery terminals.

Key features include: PanelMatch provides custom lamp current settings and simplifies supply chain management when multiple panels are used; RangeMax digital dimming (LXMG1627) and analog dimming (LXMG1628) versions extend lamp and battery life; extended operating temperature range from -30 to +80 °C; compact direct drive design; robust designs with calculated MTBF of 100 years or more; RoHS, UL certified components, UL60950 E175910; 5 V (digital dimming only) and 12 V input supply voltage, 4 W and 6 W maximum power outputs; available with JST BHR-03VS-1, BHSR-02VS-1 output connectors or equivalent.
