M+H Power System has launched one of the world's smallest UPS's - the WOW-300S. This unique yet stylish UPS is ideal for SOHO and home users. Only slightly larger than conventional power boards the WOW-300S is a tiny 315mm x 100mm x 68mm. This compact case fits in 3 Aussie three pin outlets (including 2 battery backup & surge protected outlets and 1 outlet that protects from surges only). Battery backup & surge outlets are ideal for protecting power sensitive equipment such as PC's & Monitor while the surge only outlet is recommended for protection of equipment such as modems, printers, scanners etc - which may not need to be maintained during a power outage, but require protection from the damaging effects of power surges. The WOW-300S comes with Phone/Fax/Internet protection which is compatible with RJ-11 and RJ-45 plugs (since the growing popularity of ADSL and Cable modems, the RJ-45 becomes essential for broadband protection.) A DB9pin connection with UPSMON monitoring & shutdown software (for WIN, Novell & Linux o/s) is bundled with this unit and in case of power failure will automatically prompt backup of files and then perform an orderly shutdown of the computer.
