Altronic Distributors has expanded its range of consumer plugpacks and power supplies to cater for the updated requirements of regulatory bodies in Australia.

The range of Powertran plug packs has been overhauled to suit MEPS approval. MEPS is the Australian 'green' standard designed to decrease the idle energy consumption of plugpack adapters and to increase in-use efficiency.

As compliance becomes a more difficult and overwhelming prospect for individual OEMs in Australia, Altronics strives to ensure its range remains 100% approved to local requirements.

The Powertran range includes both AC to AC and AC to DC adapters in a variety of voltage and current outputs. These include 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 18, 24 V models, from 250 mA up to 5.4 A.
