Power monitoring relay

Thursday, 01 January, 2009 | Supplied by: Westek Electronics Pty Ltd

The PQube DIN rail-mountable power and disturbance monitoring replay captures voltage disturbances and time-stamped waveforms, storing captured information on a plug-in 4 GB SD card that provides exportable CSV Excel-compatible and GIF picture files.

Information can be exported via ethernet with email, DHCP, FTP and SNTP options. Disturbance monitoring covers voltages ranging from 100 to 600 at frequencies of 50, 60 and 400 Hz for single-phase, split-phase and three-phase delta- and star-connected circuits.

Parameters analysed include dips, swells, sags, interruptions, waveform faults, frequency variations and impulse detection.

The relay can optionally monitor current and power using a maximum 20 A direct input or 1 and 5 A CT input.

Other options include kW, kVAr, power factor and energy usage, harmonics and flicker. Additionally, temperature and humidity probes may be connected for climate conditioning monitoring applications and the relay can be used in control schemes with DNP3 and Modbus protocol options.

The device complies with performance criteria as specified by IEC 61000-4-30, safety requirements according to TÜV, ISA, CSA and S-mark (Japan) and emission standards EN55022 and CISPR 22.
