Imark has released the RPSE130 remote solar power system kit to provide 12 VDC power to remote sites to power equipment like repeaters, water pumps, telemetry systems and similar electrical equipment.

The kit includes two solar panels with a total capacity of 130 W, solar panel mounting frame, 14RU stainless steel equipment cabinet, solar regulator, solar input lightning protector, 320 Ahr 12 VDC sealed lead acid battery bank, and all cabling and installation requirements.

The system can operate a 50 W radio repeater under normal working conditions. The system sizing allows for five days of autonomy (cloud cover) and with a 50% maximum battery depth of discharge.

The 14RU equipment cabinet is sealed to prevent the ingress of dust, moisture and vermin. The cabinet includes a lockable front door and a removable rear panel. It also includes a removable interface panel that allows ingress for cables to connect to external equipment.

Internally, the cabinet is fitted with front and rear 19" mounting rails so that equipment can be installed both front and rear if necessary.

The cabinet is mounted to the solar panel frame about 150 mm above ground level to allow free air circulation. The cabinet is directly under the solar panels for shading and is passively cooled. The solar panels also run the rain off the cabinet.
