EMC Measurement Uncertainty Standard

Monday, 01 July, 2002

The International Electrotechnical Commission have published CISPR 16-4, an international standard that describes how to apply electromagnetic compatibility measurement uncertainty when making a compliance statement by comparing test results to a limit.

The document describes how to use the uncertainty values indicated when determining whether products pass or fail. Furthermore, it outlines the determination of measurement uncertainty estimates for various measurements.

The publication is intended to be used by EMC test laboratories and those who apply its principles to EMC measurements and conformity assessment.
