Windfreak SynthNV RF signal generator
The Windfreak SynthNV is a 34.4 MHz to 4.4 GHz software-tuneable RF signal generator, controlled and powered by a Windows PC via its USB port. It includes an onboard 70 dB RF power detector which can be used with the sweep function as a scalar RF network analyser. RF power is settable in 1/2 dB steps up to 17 dBm, with over 60 dB of amplitude adjustability. It is very small in size.
The product’s amplitude, sweep and pulse modulation capabilities make it suitable for military and police EW applications. It is equally at home as a high-quality local oscillator driving a mixer in a microwave communication system or test signal generation in an ATE set-up. The device will pulse modulate the output, making it suitable for testing to MIL-STD-461 and DO-160 standards.
The device has non-volatile onboard memory, so it can be programmed to fire up by itself on any frequency, power or modulation setting. This makes for a mobile, low-power and lightweight solution for the user’s RF signal generation needs.
