Dytran Instruments has introduced its latest model to the 3224A series of ultra miniature IEPE accelerometers.
Weighting 0.2 g, it reduces mass loading effects. Because of its ‘teardrop’ design, the 3224A3 is suitable for shock and vibration measurements in small locations.
The device is laser welded in a titanium housing, is available with a sensitivity of 5 mV/g and can operate to temperatures up to 150 °C.
It has integrated electronics, an adhesive mount and a planar shear, quartz design that reduces base strain sensitivity, thermal transient response and thermal coefficient of sensitivity.
