Vicom has announced the Colt-150 ADSL test set from Consultronics.

The set is suitable for ADSL installers who need a small, portable solution for ADSL verification. It is specifically designed for technicians who are equipped with notebook computers.

The test set can assist in accelerating ADSL deployment and verification of ADSL data rates to users. It connects to the DSLAM for determining data rates achievable on the line. It also includes internet support capabilities to assist in verifying connectivity to the internet including traceroute and ping. The extensive test results consists of tables and graphs.

The Colt-150 consists of the ADSL test set, PC software, a USB cable, and an RJ-11 cable. The plug-and-play device connects a PC's USB port; no external power supply or batteries are required.
