Fluke Networks has announced the availability of the LinkRunner Duo Network multimeter.
It connects to both fibre and copper network links, at speeds up to 1 Gb, letting it detect and identify 90% of basic connectivity and cabling problems.
It also provides solutions to two other growing problems faced by network technicians, 802.1X security conflicts and power over ethernet service. Technicians can use the connectivity tester to verify 802.1X settings and resolve 802.1X conflicts through fast identification rather than guesswork.
It also detects PoE service (802.3.af), consolidating more power troubleshooting in the hands of network technicians and reducing the need to escalate PoE issues to facilities.
