Dytran D4190 portable vibration meter

Friday, 13 August, 2010 | Supplied by: Kingdom Pty Ltd

Dytran’s portable vibration meter D4190 is for field testing accelerometers and can be used in conjunction with a handheld shaker for sensor validation.

It converts the vibration signal from a 10 mV/g or 100 mV/g IEPE accelerometer to the peak value of the vibration signals generated by the sensors.

The instrument has a built-in power supply that provides 2 mA at +18 VDC, able to power either the 10 mV/g or 100 mV/g IEPE accelerometer and two rotary switches which allow the user to select either of the accelerometer inputs or to select a full scale range of 2, 20 and 50 g.

There is a large digital front panel display, a bias test switch to verify proper accelerometer operation and an output jack for monitoring the signal with an oscilloscope or analyser. Weighing 320 g, measuring 135 x 84 x 57 mm and with two replaceable 9 V batteries providing up to 10 hours of continuous operation the meter is suitable for field or bench vibration measurements.
