Dytran model 3220M27 IEPE accelerometer
The Dytran model 3220M27 is a low-profile, ring-shaped IEPE accelerometer with an overall weight of just 2.7 g. Offering a sensitivity of 1 mV/g, frequency response of 0.6 to 10,000 Hz, and featuring a quartz shear sensing element encased in a lightweight titanium housing, electrical connection for the model is achieved via a specially designed coaxial glass-to-metal shield 5-44 connector, which can be positioned in any desired radial direction.
It also features a miniature through-hole mounting configuration, allowing the sensor to be turned 360° prior to securing for ease of installation. Units are hermetically sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments, as well as base isolated to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.
Key features include: high frequency, low profile, 2.7 g, 1 mV/g sensitivity, 5000 g range, 5-44 radial connector, through-hole mount, 360° cable orientation, high humidity, base isolated, and IEPE.
Applications include: modal analysis; environmental stress screening (ESS); vibration control; general-purpose vibration measurements in space-constrained environments; and constrained environments.
