Electrostatic discharge (ESD) simulator system

Need to test electromagnetic compatibility for any type of electronic equipment? The simulation of electrostatic discharge (ESD) is an important part of electromagnetic compatibility testing for any type of electronic equipment.

ESDs are any momentary unwanted currents between two objects that may cause damage to electronic equipment and are caused by static electricity and electrostatic induction.

The NSG 438 is a preventative instrument that detects the occurrence of a discharge and automatically updates the counter and pre-counter displays, making it suitable for long test runs. Simple and easy to use, operators can create and store conditions in the instrument’s memory for subsequent re-use.

A pistol-shaped instrument, the NSG 438 is designed to sit comfortably in the operator’s hand, with the display always clearly visible to the operator and current operating conditions constantly displayed.

It claims to conform to all the requirements of all known ESD standards and proposed future requirements.
