Flare gas meters

The GE Panametrics GF868 flare gas flowmeter now has extended velocity ranges to perform measurements under most of the conditions that may occur in a flare line either on or offshore.

Existing electronics, with a preamp, T5 transducer and IMA71 insertion mechanism, provide a bi-directional range of 100 m/s with no loss of accuracy and a new turndown ratio of 3280 to 1. This is now the standard flare gas system. An extended velocity system delivers a uni-directional velocity of 120 m/s and a turndown of 3940 to 1.
