Hioki MR8880-20 HiCorder memory recorder
The Hioki MR8880-20 HiCorder memory recorder is suitable for voltage and current measurement as well as logic and digital signal monitoring for research, engineering and other applications including electrical traction using a high-capacity battery pack.
The instrument has a high-capacity battery power pack for use in the field.
The device has four analog and eight digital channels. High analog resolution is provided by 14-bit ADCs and storage capacity is 1 Mword per channel. The recorder is therefore suitable for monitoring three-phase, 3- and 4-wire systems.
The recorder can measure up to 600 V (AC and DC) under Cat III conditions (300 V in Cat IV). Voltage to 2 kV can be measured (Cat II) using the differential probe (Model 9322).
A range of clamp-on, large bandwidth sensors provides measurement of AC current and high harmonic content current. In addition leakage current clamps are available as well as load current clamps with a range to 1000 A.
The instrument has a sampling speed of 1 Msps and onboard memory of 1 mega samples. Additional memory is available via the CF card slot permitting additional storage to 2 GB, and USB memory stick.
The minimum time interval between samples is 1 µs and generally at 1/100th of recording time axes selected. Calculation functions include average, RMS, peak-to-peak, maxima and minima as well as time lapse to these values. In addition area under curve (ie: V-t, I-t) can be computed.
Triggering functions include logical combination of trigger inputs (analog and digital). Trigger types include voltage dips, waveform judgment and rising and falling edges.
