Eaton has introduced the Kyoritsu 3128 high-voltage insulation tester whose voltage is variable to 12 kV, 35 TΩ with a short-circuit current of 5 mA.
The tester has a large, multifunction display with back lighting showing all the critical set-up and test parameters. The unit is housed in an IP64-rated hard carry case.
The instrument can either be operated from the built-in rechargeable batteries or from an external mains. The safety category rating is CAT IV 600 V, making it safe for industrial use. In addition to insulation resistance testing, the unit offers a range of diagnostic insulation testing as well.
