Lascar’s EL-WiFi-TH is part of a range of Wi-Fi enabled EasyLog data loggers. The device is a temperature and humidity data logger which uses a standard Wi-Fi network to periodically upload its data to a host PC, removing the need to collect users’ data loggers to download their data.

The free software is simple to use: having completed an initial set-up via USB, the product can be programmed via Wi-Fi allowing users to set unique names, samples rates, low and high alarms and the upload frequency. Up to 100 units can be connected to a network, enabling real-time monitoring of a facility from one PC. Data from each sensor can be viewed on a summary screen or graphed individually for historical analysis.

The data logger’s display allows users to view the strength of the Wi-Fi signal, assisting in optimum placement. If the Wi-Fi network is lost during the logging process, the logger will automatically begin to store readings in internal memory with provision for up to half a million onboard readings. Once the Wi-Fi network is restored, it will upload all readings to the PC.

If an alarm has been set and then breached, the sensor will immediately communicate that alarm situation to the host PC regardless of the upload frequency; this is indicated by an audible alert and visual indication within the control software.

The product features IP55 environmental protection. Its rechargeable lithium battery provides up to one year’s battery life between charges.
