Magna-Power Electronics photovoltaic power profile emulation software automatically calculates solar array voltage and current profiles based on user-defined parameters.

The profiles can be sequentially sent to a power supply, which will emulate the defined characteristics. The user can define a limitless number of profiles to be emulated and sequenced over a given time period.

The software is compatible with the company’s power supplies including the: XR series II (2-8 kW); TS series III (5-45 kW); MS series III (30-75 kW); MT series IV (100-900 kW+).

The combination of Magna-Power Electronics DC power supplies and the PPPE software provides: automatic voltage/current profile calculation from reference parameters; hundreds of models available ranging from 0-4000 VDC and 0-18,000 ADC; autosequencing through power profiles, at user-defined time intervals; graphical view of profiles; real-time output; flexible modelling for manual or automatic operation; up to 50 voltage and current points per curve, with piecewise linear approximation performed between points and higher point density around maximum power point; RS232 standard; TCP/IP ethernet, GPIB, USB available.
