Maxim has released the 31722/31723 digital thermometers and thermostats that provide local temperature readings over a user-selectable SPI or three-wire interface.
While most solutions require at least a 2.7 V supply, these sensors can operate from a voltage of 1.7. This low supply, along with 2.4 µA low power standby mode, makes these products suitable for low power or battery operated systems.
